My “Model of the Month” award kit just arrived!
I’m very proud and happy to have won the iModeler October award.
Today, the price, Trumpeters Richelieu arrived.
When I’ve finished her, I’ll have a nice little french collection.
It’s a typical Trumpeter ship model kit, that is, it’s basically good but with some issues.
As for the historical correctness, there are quite a few things that need to be corrected, but that’s no problem. The 40 mm guns have also been heavily criticized, and having seen them, I cannot but agree.
It doesn’t matter in my case though, since I plan to backdate the model to the ships pre-war look.
I have plenty of good reference material, so it will be a fun little project.
The main problem will probably be to somehow find two french catapults.
Thank you editor Martin, for providing me with the kit!
