1/32 Airfix Ford Escort

January 23, 2019 · in Automotive · · 4 · 2.6K

My attempt at the Escort - 1968 to 1974 model.

Scratch built wipers, headlights (white glue gone clearish when dry), wing mirrors, interior rear view mirror, interior door and rear panels. Also exhaust modified to go into the right side of the silencer.

Paints used - Vallejo matt black, Vallejo chrome and gunmetal, Ford Paris Blue spray paint for real vehicles. Home made number plates, AA badge and 1300 badge. The registration number is that of the Escort my mother took back to Rhodesia from the UK in 1969, hence the red outline as these were export plates.

Sweet looking family car Phillip, nicely built.

  3. Nice job Phil, I've got this one built somewhere , I will dig it out and post some pics, it was a very dated kit if I remember correctly so you have done a great job to get your build looking so nice, well done.
