Fokker Eindecker E.II (Airfix 1/72)
I always wanted to build a WWI era aeroplane. However, the idea of rigging it put me off until I saw this kit from Airfix. Easy kit, very good detail and a not so complicated rigging.
So I decided to give it a go.
I've learned a few new (for me at least) techniques like: painting a convincing wood propeller, rigging ( I used only EZ Line and CA Glue for this enterprise and I'm quite happy with the results).
I could not find an exact match for the dope colour and ended up mixing a fell Tamiya shades to get an approximate match. I decided to spray the white parts of the decals and also the fuselage band since all reviews I've read they mentioned the decal didn't match properly and this was the most difficult part of the whole process.

Paulo, Belo trabalho numa escala tao diminuta! Well done indeed
Obrigado Pedro. Na verdade o kit é muito bem detalhado e encaixes perfeitos. Muito fácil de montar.
Lovely work Paulo brings this little aircraft to life!
Thanks mate. It really was a fun and easy build to be honest.

Great looking Eindecker, Paolo!
Thanks Jeff for your kind words.
Well done - it looks great!
Hi Greg
I think the photos have distorted the colour a little bit. I'm considering re-taking the photos, it looks yellower in the photos than real model.
Cheers
That looks really nice - hard to believe it's 1/72.
Thanks Tom. I know, it's a really tiny wee model this one.

It really was easier than I was thinking it would be.
