Fokker Eindecker E.II (Airfix 1/72)

February 14, 2019 · in Aviation · · 16 · 2.3K

I always wanted to build a era aeroplane. However, the idea of rigging it put me off until I saw this kit from . Easy kit, very good detail and a not so complicated rigging.

So I decided to give it a go.

I've learned a few new (for me at least) techniques like: painting a convincing wood propeller, rigging ( I used only EZ Line and CA Glue for this enterprise and I'm quite happy with the results).

I could not find an exact match for the dope colour and ended up mixing a fell Tamiya shades to get an approximate match. I decided to spray the white parts of the decals and also the fuselage band since all reviews I've read they mentioned the decal didn't match properly and this was the most difficult part of the whole process.
