Airfix Mustang and Eduard Typhoon 48 scale builds
I've just finished shooting the photos for these two builds which will be featured in Model Airplane International soon. They are the Airfix Mustang and Eduard Typhoon, both in 1:48. The Mustang has the excellent Eduard gun bay set in one of the wings plus a few scratchbuilt modifications to the cockpit. The Typhoon is the Eduard boxing of the Hasegawa kit which comes with numerous new parts correcting deficiencies in the original kit. I hope you enjoy the photos!
terrific work as always Alan
In a word: FANTASTIC ! Easy to see why they're being published. Outstanding work, sir.
Both are excellent build. Finishes are superb.
Great looking models!
Both are nice, but the Tiffie fills up the room 🙂 I like it very much
Love the Mustang
Man that Mustang is amazing!
The Mustang for me ,she looks amazing in those Swedish markings , for some reason Airfix included a Swedish option in a lot of there 1/72 kits ,some I remember were the Hampden ,Mustang, Mosquito and I'm sure there were others ,I never did find out what the connection with Sweden was.
The panel lines on the Mustang look a little deep or is that the photo's ? fantastic work on both kits though.
N.
Thanks Neil, the panel lines are fine, the rivets are a bit heavy though.
The black and white shots of the Tempest look real. Very real.

Both great builds!
Great looking builds - and love the Swedish markings on the Pony.
Excellent work on both aircraft. Really like the natural metal finish on the Mustang. The Typhoon is just wonderful. Looking forward to the publication of your work.
