I-19 Japanese submarine,Monogram

July 19, 2019 · in Ships · · 12 · 4.1K

This is Monograms issue of 's I-19, It's considered one of the better detailed of the Aurora submarines, it went together well. the scale is supposed to be 1/275. I added Das Boot 505,another Mon/Aurora box scale, an older build. The I-19's main claim to fame was killing the USS Wasp CV-7.

  3. Great looking sub Robert!

  4. Nice looking submarine Robert. I like the photo showing the box art.

  5. This is one of the molds that Monogram bought when Aurora went under. The "Wolfpack" sub was always my favorite!

  6. Can't go wrong with those "old" Monogram kits...looks good.

  7. Lovely build, Robert. Elegant lines and beautifully shot.

Love the display of insignias from your postings.

  8. Thanks everybody!

  9. Well done! I never bought the original Aurora kit, but earlier this year I found the Monogram version on eBay. I first saw a build up of the model in the November 1970 issue of Scale Modeler.
