Deutsche Luftwaffe Focke Wulf 190 D-9 "Dora" Major Gerhard Barkhorn
Major Gerhard Barkhorn cannot quite make friends on his first flights with the Focke Wulf 190 D-9, although it is a praised aircraft by all other pilots and fighter pilots. He said that it would have taken about 50 flight hours to master and achieve safe flying.
Major Gerhard Barkhorn next to his Focke Wulf 190 D-9 "Langnase" on February 17, 1945 in Welzow on the Eastern Front. On this aircraft he also underlined the lettering "Christel" in red, Barkhorn only completed a few flights with the FG Wulf 190 D-9 on the JG 6.

Great looking machine
Beautiful work on the airplane and those figures are very good.
@messerschmitt, Hans, I just saw this fine model, and I have to say it looks great! Well done for sure! ?
I built this model Focke Wulf 190 D-9 of the pilot Gerhard Barkhorn JG 52 the forgotten ace next to Erich Hartmann and Günter Rall
This model turned out excellently ! The paint looks really nice….
I’ve got this same kit in my stash as well as a 1/48 190D… seeing this one makes me want to get started building them .
I had read once that General Adolph Galland had told Hitler Germany should stop building all aircraft except the FW-190D and Me-262.
Thank you very much, I am happy to read this.
I'm not sure but Adolf Galland once said about the Messerschmitt 262: It's as if an Angel was Flying.
