Airfix 1/48 Hawk

My Bae T.Mk1 done as the Bae Hawk T.Mk. 60/60As which was exported to Zimbabwe in the early 1980's.
Paints used are Dark Earth 29 (Humbrol spray can), Vallejo 70.893 U.S. Dark Green (brush painted) & Vallejo 70.989 Sky grey (air brushed).
Decals are from an aftermarket set.

    Nice to see this combination of painting techniques, spray can, brush and airbrush on one scheme.

  4. Another nice Hawk, and those markings are also cool - I hadn't seen those before, and the colors are quite interesting!

      Also note that on the tail one side had the Zimbabwe flag and the other the Zimbabwe bird.
      When they first came to Zimbabwe they had the Zimbabwe bird markings on both sides of the tail and the serial number, but no roundels. The Roundels came into use at a later date.
