Did someone say 2020 builds?
This year has been utter garbage. Nobody can deny that. But amid the chaos, our wonderful hobby has flourished and prospered, with the exception of a few sad losses we have seen
in the headlines. But no doubt about it, this year has sort of been the year for modellers!
I've had the circumstances, though, of being basically stuck at home the whole year. My highschool closed early in the final semester last year, and has done so again this year. With this, I have been/will be trapped at home. With all of this newfound "freetime", if you could call it that, I've been working behind the scenes on some things.
None of these builds truly measure up to anything special like I see here. They are merely, how do I say this, like the ramblings of a crazy teenager, haha. That doesnt mean I'm not proud of any of them, however. They just arent perfect. If I had to choose a favorite though, it would be the A-10. I liked the wash I did with some pigments, the clear coat I managed to put on it, and the way the decals laid onto the surface. I probably could have painted the ordinance better, but hey, it's alright. Learning, practice, repeat! I also really like my 1/700 arado. Those decals were a bugger at the scale. Overall, modeling wise, I'd say it's been a great year.
You all have been awesome, and I've enjoyed following the builds of many of you. Whether it be the seemingly thousand Bf-109s, which manage to all be significantly different, or the awesome EOJ Grouo Build, they have all been absolutley fascinating. Hope to see more good stuff in the new year!
