There’s a Spad under the tree!
Well, this was a journey. Trumpeter’s A-1H has its strong points and weak points. many of which have been written about by myself and others. So I will not belabor them here. Would I recommend this kit? Well, if you want a 1/32 A-1H without the fiddly build of the ZM kit (and cost) this one fits the bill. Overall I’m happy with it, so here you go. A-1H VA 165 USS Intrepid 1966. Merry Christmas!

What a Christmas delight Rob! Ya gotta love that pilot. When she stops leaking you are out of oil. Great looking model.

Stunning work, Rob!
I go with California Steve’s above comment for the pilot: he looks so cool!
Also for the leaking oil comment (trust me: it happens to MUCH newer planes too!!!……..)
Well done, this is a super build!

Excellent! Now on to “visions of sugar plums… and whatever else Santa leaves beneath the stockings this year that smells like styrene!”

Great looking Spad Rob. Wouldn’t mind finding some of that “Bad Santa” as well.

Very nice build, of an impressive plane. I am always amazed at the sheer size of the aircraft and the ordinance load it could carry. Great looking build.
