Sherman M4A3 76 W

April 7, 2021 · in Armor · · 16 · 3.1K

To change a bit from planes, let's explore a mythic actor of WWII; the US M4A3 76 W.

Here the version which participated in the Battle of Bulge, Bastogne, Belgium in December 1944.

Model + Edward PE.

I used excellent products as CA glue, mud & varnish, paper & shaper from VMS Supplies

First attempt with Winter camo and tarp shaping/painting.

  1. This is an amazing result, my friend @modalex6149!
Winter camo and general painting and weathering are spectacular.
    Kudos to your skills!

  2. Fantastic build and weathering!

  3. Some more positive adjectives, excellent clear, sharp photo's showing the details on the kit.

The Machine Gun , the painting of the tools, the straps holding some of the gear, the tracks and there weathering all add up to an impressive build.

    Two thumbs up.

  4. That's a real looker - beautiful paint and detail work.

  5. Really nice work and a very realistic result. I like it a lot.

  6. What a beauty! Cool stowage, specially the polish gasoline can!

  7. First Meng Sherman I've seen made up and what a great job you've done, the photographs are excellent, too, definitely liked.

    • I am actually amazed by the quality of Meng scale models. Definitely not my last one from this brand. Happy you liked my pics as well, as you may know, this is quite challenging to get a good depth of field.

  8. Museum quality build. The photos are prefect for the subject.
