Fine Molds 1/72 F-4EJ Kai Phantom II No.440
A relatively new kit of phantoms. There was almost no need to erase the seams of the parts. It wasn't difficult to assemble.
I painted with brushes and lacquer paints, and Mr. color is mainly used. I made the whole matte, but I painted the spare tank and the black part of the nose with a glossy clear with a brush to make a difference.
At the time of shooting, I placed an artificial turf in front of it.

Your Phantom looks very nice Seiji. I tought for a moment it was the real aircraft!
Well done .

Thank you for your comment. I like shooting plastic models as much as I do making plastic models.

This a truly amazing Phantom, Seiji!
Hard to believe it is only 1/72.
Weathering is exceptional.
Congratulations!

Thank you. I enjoy weathering while imagining how it will look like the real thing when I shoot outside.

Hand painted using lacquers? Bravo, splendid paint work, very realistic
Seiji KIMURA said on October 12, 2021
Thanks. I usually airbrush clears and surfacers, but I enjoy painting and weathering with a brush.

Outstanding build and finish, taking-on the look of a "real, live" F-4.
Seiji KIMURA said on October 13, 2021
Thank you. I'm glad because I'm working on how to make it look real.

Beautiful, nicely done! When I was in the Navy I was privledges to see JASDF Phantoms flying out of Iwo Jima, soooo cool! A few years prior I got to see F-104Js there, also cool! Your Phantom captures them perfectly!
Seiji KIMURA said on October 13, 2021
Thank you. I am very happy to be appreciated by you who has seen real things.

Absolutely phenomenal! I cannot believe this was done with brushes!
Seiji KIMURA said on October 13, 2021
Thank you. I like my brushes because I can freely aim and paint where I want.

Holy smoke, that is a beauty. A little heated vapor trail emanating from the jet pipes and that is the real McCoy! Love the weathering and paint work - I will unapologetically save these images for reference for an upcoming EJ build of my own!
Seiji KIMURA said on October 13, 2021
Thanks. I hope you enjoy making EJ.

Brush work equals Art Work. Some real strong work in the old school painting dept.
Standing, clapping, while whistling at the stadium of fine modeling in the nose bleed seats.
Two thumbs up.

Thanks for the kind words. My efforts have been rewarded.

Awesome build, Seiji @sjk
As said by all gentlemen above, the handbrush paintwork is exceptional.
And hard to believe this is 1/72, especially the ones with the turf in front makes it look like a real one.

Thank you. It's fun to be creative when making and photographing.

Thank you. I had a little trouble choosing the right one.

Gorgeous work in Braille Scale dude! weathering is fantastic- and what makes the rear quater view appear real for me is the treatment of the exhaust area.
Seeing this makes me regret selling off my 1/48 Hasegawa F-4EJ Kai way back!
Love the forced perspective shots- the header is fantastic with the subdued lighting.
Dan.

Thank you. If you want, you can get another new Phantom plastic model to build. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
I will attach a photo of a Hasegawa 1/48 RF-4J that I built in the past.

Well done, Seiji (@sjk). I have heard that the Fine Molds kit is very good, and your paint-work made it even better.
