Yakovlev Yak-9P 1/32 scale, scratchbuild
The Yak-9P is a representative of Soviet aviation during the end of World War II, one of the last piston-engined fighters. From its predecessors, the Yakovlev family of aircraft differed in its all-metal design, which is why it was taken into development using the metal plating technology of the model.
The model itself is designed independently in a 3D program, grown on its own printer. On top of the plastic, the model is glued with 0.15 mm aluminum sheet. Each sheathing sheet is a separate part. The use of 3D technologies allowed to speed up the process, increase the accuracy of manufacturing parts and apply cold stamping aluminum technologies. Also, thanks to 3D technologies, it was possible to make a pilot's sliding lantern work.
The model was built in three months.
Another gorgeous model, Жуков!
Congratulations!
Wow, again.
Super use of technology.
Equally great, Жуков @kapzhuk
Really amazing what you did with the 3D and aluminum.
Another amazing build!
Two in a row - both superb.
That’s incredible work! And we still don’t have a Yak-9P in 1/48 plastic.
