ICM 1/48 Bristol Beaufort Mk.1
1/48 ICM Bristol Beaufort Mk.1 L9878 No 217 Sqn RAF St Eval, Autumn 1941.
ICM have really done something special with this kit. Mine is OOTB but there is plenty of room for additional detail, especially in the cockpit if you wanted. This has been a heap of fun. The decals were fantastic and the fit very very good.
Thanks for looking.
A very beautiful build, awesome weathering.
Thank you. š
Dear Paul @paulwoodyvanacker, may i ask what varnish you used because i like the flat and matte look of the colors very much!
Hi Felix,
Thank you. I used Testors Dullcoat. Make sure you dilute it when spraying to get a nice smooth result. All the best. Paul.
@paulwoodyvanacker: What did you use to dilute Dullcoat? Lacquer thinner? Looks great.
I use SCA general purpose thinner. I'm in Australia, so if you are, you can get it at supercheap auto.
Nicely done.
Superb looking Beaufort, Paul @paulwoodyvanacker
Painting and weathering is indeed fantastic.
Thanks so much mate. š
Nice work, Paul.
Thank you. š
First one I see built and very well presented. Very impressive built indeed Paul, thumbs up!
Thank you Pedro. It's the first I've seen too. LOL.
Paul,
I think you work on commission. You've sold me on this kit. Some sharp clear photos that show a aircraft that has been infield and weathered. This is a build to be proud of to say the least.
Had no choice but, smash the like button.
Thak you so much mate. LOL. I hope ICM get some extra sales actually. They are bringing out some fantastic products. The more we buy, the more they create. And they're doing it in a war zone... amazing.
This is one of my favourite builds that I've done this year, thank you so much.
Man, that's a nice looking kit, and a fantastic looking build.
Agreed - 'LIKE' button punched!
Thank you. š
An impressive model, Paul! I agree, with Gents above, painting and weathering rock!
Thank you so much mate. š
Second one I have seen (both in the same scheme!). Very impressive; I like the weathering and overall finish a lot. I have one here, just waiting for the Eduard masks to arrive. This really looks like a nice kit in the box and you have now presented proof it's even better when finished.
Thank you very much. I have seen a 2nd one now also. Also the same scheme.
If I ever do a 2nd I'll add detail to the cockpit, but I have too many other kits waiting in line now. Many are ICMs. I'm looking forward to the 1/48 Sally coming out soon. š
Very nice result on this kit- going to have to put this on my wish list! The weathering and paintwork is very well executed and highly realistic. Bravo
Thank you so much. š Definately get one, it'll be worth it. š
Great looking Beaufort, well done ICM and you.
Thank you. š
That is gorgeous - love the paint and weathering. Well done!
Thanks so much mate. š
Great job on this Paul!
Thank you Dale š
Well done, Paul (@paulwoodyvanacker). The paint and finish is outstanding.
Thank you so much. š
This is an awesome build of the Beaufort. Nice job, it looks great!
Thanks so much. š
Thanks for an excellent presentation and build of the new ICM Beaufort, I picked one about a month ago (along with a Dora Wings Vengeance) and seeing yours splendid build is quite a motivator. With several projects to wrap up, it may reach the bench early in the upcoming year. ICM is on a roll with some real nice subjects. As well as the upcoming Sally I cannot wait to see that on the shelves. The finish as mentioned is superb. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. Do it after the other projects. It'll be a fun experience. š
If the Sally was out now I'd grab one. Love the Vengeance too btw. I should get one of those too.
This kit looks great, and expertly finished too. Beautiful work Paul. Looks like Iād better make room in the stash for one more!
Thank you. You won't be disappointed. š
