Heinkel He162 A-2 Salamander – Tamiya 1/48
Hello and happy new year!
It's not a novelty since the He 162 Tamiya model appeared 13 years ago but I had a lot of fun to build it.
Some modifications and additions :
- guns replaced by micro-tubes
- Aires ejector seat
- collimator and handles of the canopy in scratch...
Tamiya airbrush paint.
The decoration comes from the box: Heinkel He 162 A-2 flown by Oberleutnant Emil Demuth, 3./JG 1, Leck/Germany, 5 May 1945. Emil Demuth's previous 16 victories were painted on the rudder of his He 162.

Very clean and sharp paintwork, Guy. Well done.
Thanks a lot, John!
Guy,
You've made a "Goldilocks" build. Everything on the build is "Just right".
My only niggle is the back round. Everything is bright sunny, green and warm. I look out side and see 2 feet of snow and its 7 degrees F out side.
Smashed the like button.
Thanks a lot, Stephen! The pictures were taken two months ago when the weather was still good!
Nicely done!
Thank you Robert!

A nice, clean Salamander - well done!
