'Probe this ET'
A little diorama inspired by a friend who is very much into their conspiracy theories.
They were telling me about some UFO related phenomena of cattle mutilations (a dubious theory even by the standards of UFO believers) and i couldn't help thinking wouldn't it be nice of the cows got there own back for once.
The UFO was designed on blender and then 3D printed as were the cow and the alien.
The missile is a scratch build using plastic tube and card.
The base is balsa wood and insulation foam with Mig products acrylic mud and various flock/plant accessories.
The fence is just balsa wood.
Painting is mostly with Tamiya acrylics except the UFO which used metallic lacquers.
The cow relieving itself was done with fibre optic cable coated in resin

Timely, Paul, very timely. I like it a lot.
I check this site while at work and laughed out loud when I saw the picture pop up. Luckily my coworkers are used to outbursts of laughter from me like that. That is just a very funny and awesome vignette.
Yessss! I, along with Mr Cleaver have been on Imodeler since the very start and this is the first time I've laughed out loud at something posted here , well done on that.
That said the quality of work is outstanding , I love it.

That build is definitely, in a Grey area. Three D printing offers a lot of possibilities and fidelity to details that can not be matched with plastics. Especially with what the cow is doing . . . I'm assuming it is to scale.
Seems appropriate for what's going on with current events too.
