A-7E Corsair II `Hellenic Air Force Special'
While not Hasegawa's finest 1/48th jet, the A-7E can be built into a realistic looking model. The decals are the main theme of this Hellenic Air Force Special aircraft. I folded the wing to to make it look more dynamic and compact as the aircraft looks very chubby and purposeful.
Very interesting! What is the historical context behind this scheme?
BTW, top marks for the build, too.
Thank you Marcello,
THE expert got ahead of me...
A superb result, Rafi!
This was a commemorative scheme and, if memory serves, this was the last flying Greek Corsair. It belonged to 336Sq "Olympos", carrying this emblem...
Very nice commemorative scheme of the SLUF.
A very fine looking Corsair in an amazing scheme, Rafi @blackmopane
Beautiful build! Very cool to see typically gray jets dressed in something different.
Great colour scheme perfectly applied, and the folded wings makes it that little bit more interesting.
Super build Rafi as always 👍
Nothing can beat a great paint scheme on an A-7, Rafi (@blackmopane). Well done.
Thank you George

The build is great, and a fantastic effort on the scheme - a real eye-catcher!
