Airfix 1/48 Avro Anson Mk.I
This really is a kit of opposites.
The cockpit internals and the overall fit is beautiful but the fit of the nacelles leaves a little to be desired.
Nothing a spot of filler and plasticard can't fix but it was a surprise after the ease of building the rest.
The side glazing gave me a bit of a headache as there was a little bend in both but the fit of these may have been down to me if i'd misaligned something earlier in the build.
Primed with Mr. Finishing Surfacer Black 1500.

Thanks for looking,
Cheers,
Alistair
Turned out very nice. Love the markings
Thanks so much.
Oh, that is quite nice, Alistair @alistairfgauld!
I especially like those underside crosses!
Many thanks,
The underside was the thing that made me want to do this scheme
Well-done, Alistair.
Thanks very much
Fantastic job as always, Alistair
Lovely markings!
Many Thanks Spiros
Absolutely beautiful, Alistair @alistairfgauld
Great red cross scheme.
No signs of the issues you had with the nacelles.
Thanks very much.
With the nacelles I made sure the top surfaces were good in the fit and then dealt with the undersides with plasticard and filler.
Really nice looking aircraft. Great job Alistair! You'd never know there were any fit issues with the engine nacelles.
Thanks so much.
Further inspiration to haul mine out. This is really nice, Alistair!
Thanks so much Tom,
Please do drag yours out as I'd love to see it done properly.
... Greetings ... :.
Very sharp and clean build Alistair, it has been awhile since I saw one of those aircrafts.
Thanks very much.
I didn't do too much weathering as I figured it was kept pretty clean.
This one came out really well, Alistair (@alistairfgauld). I love the paint scheme with its little splash of bright colors on the nacelles, not to mention the bright red crosses. Well done.
Thanks so much.
Looks great, Alistair, very neat work. It might look cool in a display with the new 1/48 Tamiya ambulance, just a thought.
Thanks and that is a splendid idea.
Well done, Alistair. So many interesting schemes for this plane.
Thanks very much.
There are quite a few eye-catchers available
Great looking aircraft (@alistairfgauld).
Thanks so much
Excellent build! Love that red cross scheme.
Many Thanks Greg.
Well done, a great looking Anson!
Thank you so much
Very nice. I am building one now and have the same problem. I mis aligned something somewhere I think and now the whole model is mis aligned. Not a forgiving kit. I'll be very glad when mine is done.
I'm surprised because the other Airfix kids I've done were a breeze.
You did great on yours.
Many thanks.
I think that those beautiful internal parts have to be very precisely placed or you get an issue later on.
But it is worth the effort even if you get it wrong.
