Your paintwork is amazing!
Thank you Richard!
Superb result, Rafi! Your painting and weathering are awesome!
Thank you Spiros!
Impressive work, Rafi @blackmopane
The aging of the painted surfaces is really nice, well done.
Thank you John.
Beautiful Work Rafi! @blackmopane. I love to color variation in the blue you achieved, it really looks spectacular and the wash really emphasized all that beautiful molded detail. Really well done, one of your best efforts!
Thank you Walt!
Wow, Rafi, really beautiful work! It looks awesome. You built yourself an amazing Corsair. You're rite about this kit too, Tamiya did a wonderful job when they engineered 1/32nd Corsairs. The only criticism I have with these kits is the lack of any machine gun muzzles detail behind the openings in The leading edge of the wings. It's an easy fix, I know, but for as great of a kit that it is, with all its wonderful engineering and detail, you would figure something would be there.
Thank you Clint.
The kit also misses some plumbing in the wheel bay and ignition harness.
Yes, you are rite. I built mine aa a -2 and added those details and some other -2 spacific details. I'll try to post it soon.
Great looking corsair , the weathered finish is spot on.
Thank you Mark.
Nice job, Rafi !
Thank you Gary!
Great example of this classic kit.
Thank you George.
Man, what realistic paintwork, Rafi @blackmopane! 😀
A sensational scale model that looks like the real thing! 🤩
Beautiful, the little details, they are absolutely wonderful.
Thank you Milan.
Excellent result! Would love to build one of these myself one day. Great job!
Thank you David.
I hope you will.
I think that is my favorite build of yours so far - the paint modulation work and weathering are superb! I'd love to watch a master-class video of how you achieve that subtle finish.
Thank you Greg.
It is a different frame of mind to do a video and I am not up to this.
The principle is to go by the flow, which means to apply very thin layers of paint of your own mix.
Very nice paint and weathering. You nailed it!
Thank you Chas!
You are totally, absolutely and completely right that this is one of the best, most accurate kits ever, and certainly the definitive Corsair kit, @blackmopane. And it's also absolutely obvious that you made the most of the opportunity presented. A superb result!
Thank you Tom!
What is your list of the best ever kits? Maybe I missed some?
In no particular order, the Eduard Spitfires, the Eduard 109F-K (their E has problems but everyone seems to want to give them a pass), the Tamiya P-38s, the Kinetic Pucara, the Tamiya 1/32 Corsairs, Spitfires and P-51s, the new Eduard Fw-190A, the Magic Factory 1/48 Corsair, the Eduard Zero series, the Eduard Wildcat series, the H-K Models 1/48 and 1/32 B-25 series, the H-K 1/48 Lancaster series, the Wingsy 109E series, The Mini-Art P-47D, the Arma 1/48 Hurricane IIc, the Airfix Anson, Those are just off the top of my head.
Many thanks Tom.
I will try the Airfix Anson after the disappointing CA build. Good to know that the ones in your list that I did not build were considered, but price matters.
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
What can I say? I love Corsair's ( be them F-4U's or A-7 ).
This is a very magnificent and beauteous build Rafi.
Nice and very well-made weathering, good modeling.
Thank you DE.
A spectacular paint finish on this Corsair! Rafi, I think this is your best model yet (@blackmopane).
Thank you John!
Really nice Corsair with excellent paintjob and color variations.
Thank you Jarmo.
