Kinetic 1/48 Fouga CM.170 Magister, IDF Tzukit
The French Fouga Magister was licensed for production in Israel and entered the IDF service by 1960 in the name Tzukit. Its main role was in the flying school, but also had an important operational role during the 1967 Six Days War.
As an air cadet I had the opportunity to fly the jet. It is a very agile but incredibly forgiving aircraft. It could almost recover by itself from an inverted spin. Well, almost.
Kinetic's Fouga Magister (two in the box) kit certainly retains the characteristic outlines of the aircraft. However, the soft plastic does not represent the delicate texture of the small aircraft. As a result, seem lines are noticeable and the model is best coated with a thick layer of paint and sanded, (which I do not like.) Alternatively, it can be finished with a dark scheme that hides the un-even joints.
Both look good from here, Rafi.
Thank you George.

Both looks perfect!
Thank you Djordje!
Well done, Rafi (@blackmopane). The Magister/Tzukit looks like it was fun to fly. I suspect it was from the same era of jets as the one I flew, the T-37. I love the contrast in paint between the trainer and one with camo. Well done.
Thank you kindly George.
Two beautiful Magisters! Well done.
Thank you Greg!
