Curtiss CW-22B

March 3, 2024 · in Aviation · · 15 · 299

Here's my CW-22B from in 1:48. It was a fairly easy build, it just needed a little thinning of the cockpit tub at the rear for a good fit. I used a section of an old bomb to make a spacer between the engine and firewall, as I didn't care for the engine mount provided with the kit. It can't be seen anyway, and the engine was much easier to deal with. I added Eduard belts, wired the engine, added brake lines, and painted with my mix of Tamiya colors to match a picture I found of CF-465 and CF-466 in formation. Another one of Dora Wings better offerings.
