AmTech 1/48 P-40L
A very nice kit by AmTech with resin nose depicting an aircraft serving in the 99th FS, 79th FG "tuskegee airmen" in Italy during 1944. The aircraft was piloted by 1st Lt. Herman "Ace" Lawson.
Here is a comment that I received:
"There were two main props for the P-40D through the P-40N series. The first was used on the P-40D through the P-40K. The Curtiss Electric prop has a narrower chord with pointed tips. The P-40L, M, and N were equipped with a wider chord Curtiss Electric prop with rounder tips. No current company (any of the AMT kits or clones, Mauve or Hasegawa) supplies the correct prop for the P-40L/M or N."
Excellent result, superb painting and weathering, Rafi!
Thank you Spiros!

Awesome P-40 Rafi. I've said it every time I see one, and I'll say t again, I really live the desert camo P-40s, and just about anything in desert camo. Great work as always my friend!

Thank you Neil.
I'm a huge P-40 fan - have a bunch in the stash. This one is fantastic - love the desert scheme with the yellow wing stripes - I had not seen that scheme before. Nicely done as always.
Thank you Greg!
