Sunk F4F Wildcat "Felix the Cat" from USS Lexington CV-2

Disclaimer: I really struggled if I would publish this yet or not.

In March 4th 2018 the oceanographic ship RV Petrel found the old wreck of the carrier CV-2 USS Lexington, sunk in the Coral Sea battle. Among the items scattered on the ocean floor it was found an F4F with a Felix the Cat logo. I was captivated by this image. So, I decided to do this as a diorama

So, I brought a brand new Airfix F4F Wildcat 1:72 and smashed it. My wife started thinking I had finally lose my mind. I created a muddy base with white clay, Vallejo paints and Vallejo mud. I created then a turntable in my 3D printer for cutting and sanding this circular shape. In fact, this turntable. Very useful for painting also, if you want to try it.

I attacked the Wildcat with knife, saw, files, dremel and heat gun. Also I created a few items with sprue and a 3D printing pen.
The markings, of course, doesn't fit this current plane so had to be stenciled by hand.

After all was done, I did a container and started pouring resin. My first time, you know, Oh, sweet summer child! Everything went smooth till the 2nd resin kilo, wich never fully cured right. I completed 3 kilos of resin and then sanded everything, but the faulty resin started delaminating from the first batch so I think I will have to saw all this. I still think on this as a work in progress but the faulty resin really broke my heart. Anyways, I won't cry no more, here is my attempt of a sunken dream. When I fix it I will present the final result.
