1/32 Scale MB 326 K Scratch Build , FINISHED

October 18, 2020 · in Aviation · · 31 · 2.3K

Well, its time to reveal the completed model of the Impala Mk 2, or commonly known as the MB 326 K, I really enjoyed building the Mk 1 and the Mk 2 in 32nd scale, two iconic Aircraft of the South African Airforce. The Impala Mk 2 being used as a light strike aircraft during South Africa's Border war.
Everything was scratch built, Phew, its was a challenge, not as difficult as the Mirage F1 though, but a challenge non the less.

The pictures are not that good, but I will take some better pictures at a later stage.

I hope you enjoyed the progress pictures and the build as much as I did, and thank you all for your kind comments during the build, it motivated me to try and do a good job.

If you have any questions about the build, please let me know if I can help in any way.

Enjoy the pics, and keep yourself and your Family safe during this trying time,

All the best,

Marc

  8. Yep - another beauty! Fantastic.

  9. Just WOW. We build models, you make models. A distinct difference. There was a lady in the Madison/Milwaukee area back in the 90's that would always build 1/32 scratch builds. Her F-105 and A-10 stuck in my mind through the years. I always wondered how she did it and your builds are a great guide to take away some of the mystery.

    • Hey Josh, thank you for the kind comment, indeed, scratch building has opened the door to so many possibilities for me, as long as I can get a decent drawing, i can really have a go at building any subject, although, I must confess that I had to do an apprenticeship in building model kits over many years to get to where I am now. I learn something new with each build I do, thanks again,

  15. Absolutely fantastic build buddy. You got the shape and look of an operational Imp spot on. Having seen these parked at Ondangwa AFB during the war I know.
