Captured Hawk, P-36/ H75 in the Luftwaffe. Monogram 1/72.
This represents one of the dozen or so H 75's that were captured by Germans, which sold many to the Finns. I think that the Monogram kit is still the best representation of the P-36 in 1/72. Thanks go to Tom Bebout for supplying the kit.
Ummmm... actually, the captured H75s were sold to the Finns. (Obviously a typo on your part, right? Right.)

Yeah @j-healy, the airplane flew on both sides, and the only complaint I ever heard about it from a pilot was the Finnish H75 top ace, who said it wasn't fast enough. Steve Hinton, who has now flown every example of both the P-40 and P-36/H75 says the P-36/H75 is the "nicest flying high-powered" airplane he's ever flown. When the RAF's A&AEE got French H75s to test in 1940, they found the airplane was more maneuverable than a Spitfire. Just not as fast.
Nice build Robert, these P-36's/H-75's did get around. And yes to Monogram setting the standard on how this plane should look like in 1/72 scale.
