1/48 Tamiya P-51B John T. Godfrey
My Tamiya 1/48 P-51b in the markings of 4th FG star, Captain John T. Godfrey.
Replaced the cockpit with a True Details resin item, Aeromaster decals except for some home made kill markings. Used Tamiya AS-12 Bare Metal Silver, overcoated with a clear flat.
This is great time for Mustangs!I Like your model! I hope My 1:72 scale will be looking good too 🙂
I just love the fast-back Mustangs - this one looks great! Well done.
Very nice looking Mustang, Brian @bzak
How did you home made those kill markings?
Used Photoshop and clear decal sheet printed on my home printer.
Thanks for the feedback Brian @bzak
Sorry for the next question, but I assume this can be done on standard inkjet printers.
Will definitely give this a try myself.
Yes.
Did you spray the decals with clear to prevent the ink from running?
Used a Krylon acrylic flat spray paint.
You did a great job on the now classic Tamiya P-51B, Brian!
I have the same kit and I just love it!
Pretty awesome P-51, Brian (@bzak). Great-looking metal finish, too. Well done.
Nice take on the second "Reggie." Good work on the home made decals.
Nice looking Mustang, the silver finish is just great, definitely liked.
Like!
I like how this turned out. If I do another Razorback Mustang, I'll probably do it marked as the Berlin Express, also an NMF scheme.
I’ve looked all over for decals for that one.
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Nice work on this P-51 Mustang model Brian.
