Monogram Hawker Typhoon.
After many trips from the workbench to the shelf and from the shelf to the workbench, I am calling this little side project finished. The classic Monogram Hawker Typhoon. Total re-scribe of the kit including certain access panels that were not on the kit but were on the actual aircraft. KMC resin cockpit with a lot of scratch built and added details. KMC resin Tempest tail planes which were a horrible fit but, if one is going to build an accurate four blade prop Typhoon, they are a necessary inconvenience. Accurized the landing gear/wheel bay. Rebuilt the radiator and dropped the radiator door. Added Ultracast resin rockets and rails as the ones that came with the kit are total rubbish. The only decals used on the kit are the data stencils, everything else was painted using aftermarket and homemade masks. Anyone interested in seeing the building process can look in "Groups" under "Work in Progress-Aircraft". I really enjoyed this build and am working on putting my "Tiffie" in a small vignette.
Wow! 😀 Superb work, top job Seamus @seamus1! I've built that Monogram kit too but your result here puts her to shame mate. That "Tiffie" looks great! 🥃

Well done - excellent update of the kit!
Great job, Seamus Boughe (@seamus1). I really like taking old kits and dressing them up with some TLC and getting something much better than the start. There is still a lot of life in the old Monogram kits.
Beautiful build! I love those old Monogram kits. I have one in my stash that I've been wanting to build, yours gives me a HIGH mark to try to match. Truly an awesome build.
