Converting Tamiya's 1/32 Spitfire to Mk. IXE
The conversion relied on the availability of spare parts in Tamiya's IXC boxing to represent the later IXE, such as elevators, rudder and clipped wings. Scratch work involved the conversion of the C to E wing. I modified the gun bay area namely, gun position, length, cartridge ejection openings, blister location and position. Finally, I used XtraDecal sheet where this 74 Squadron Spitfire IXE appears.
