Kepford' Pirate
I took a long break from the resin Macchi M39 because I'm having trouble with boot alignment... I've been building another Corsair, the second from Magic Factory. I chose the unusual subject of Ike Kepford 😉 that others on this forum have brilliantly published... in my own small way I measured myself with this famous F4U-1A. In some images he is portrayed with the previous pirate... the 10 F4U-2. I hope you like it...
Beautifully done!

Awesome job.
many thanks Dave! @davesans
Beautiful Corsair. I like how you layer the model on the color sheets—neat idea. Nice work replicating the wear of the actual plane.
really happy that you appreciated the idea Matt @coondog ! Thank you!
Well done
thanks @blackadder57 !
Brilliant work! Your weathering is especially well-done. How dd you achieve the look of chipped and worn-off paint on the wings next to the cockpit?
Thanks for your appreciation Drew @navairfan … really thanks!
For the weather effects I used some watercolour pastels, the tamiya “weathering master” sets and a bit of brush use with silver and chrome yellow… I hope to do even better next time…
