I currently work as a criminal investigator for the State of Texas Inspector General’s Office. Prior to that I was with the Abilene, TX Police Department and was a Detective in the Fraud Unit and a member of the SWAT team. I primarily build 1/48 aircraft from WW II and Korea but will occasionally work in a modern jet.

1/48 Hasegawa Hurricane I

This is a Hurricane I flown by Robert Stanford-Tuck. I added elevators and wheels by Ultracast, Falcon rear canopy, a Yahu instrument panel, and a pilot figure bashed together from my parts box. Not happy with the snow base. Too heavy-handed. Be[...]

1/48 Nakajima Ki-27 by Hasegawa

This is an early Hasegawa boxing of the Mania Models Ki-27 from about 1977...I think. I put some Eduard details in the cockpit including a seat, belts, and instrument panel but since its so small I really didn't do much more there. The kit can[...]

Eduard 1/48 Yak-3

This is the 1/48 Yak-3 by Eduard. I put a Aerobonus pilot, Yahu instrument panel and Ultracast exhausts. The decals are from Begamot. Pilot is Marcel Albert from the Normandie-Nieman Group.

1/48 Tamiya Dewoitine D.520

Here is my D.520. Its almost straight out of the box except exhaust stacks from ultra cast and a photoetch gunsight from Eduard. The pilot figure is from PJ Productions. Markings are a combination of masks and the god awful Tamiya decals. I [...]

Hasegawa 1/48 A6M3 Zero 22

I added a CMK interior and some wire to the engine and landing gear but that's about it. I am not sure who made the pilot's body but the head is from Reheat. This is my interpretation of Hiroyoshi Nishizawa's aircraft. This is a Mutsubishi buil[...]

1/48 Classic Airframes Bf 109B-2

This was built primarily out of the box with an Ultracast seat added and the prop pieced together from a CMK 109E prop. The documentation is all over the place on this aircraft. I have seen it referred to as a B, C, and D in publications. I w[...]

1/48 Hasegawa F6F-5 Hellcat

This Hellcat was flown by Texas pilot Arthur "Ray" Hawkins of VF-31 on the USS Cabot in September, 1944. I added an Obscureco cowl, Quickboost engine, and Squadron canopy. The pilot figure was bashed together from my parts box...head, torso, leg[...]

1/48 Hasegawa Bf 109G-6 with Tamiya BMW R 75 motorcycle

This is the Hasegawa Bf 109G-6. I added a cockpit from Cooper Details, Instrument panel from Eduard, seat belts from Eduard, prop and spinner from Fusion, wheels from Cooper details. The paint is Tamiya mixed RLM 74/75/76 in the Erla pattern. Th[...]

1/48 Hasegawa Spitfire Mk VIII

This is the 1/48 Hasegawa Mk VIII Spitfire flown by Squadron Leader Lance Wade. Wade was from Texas and enlisted in the RAF in Canada. Being from Texas myself I like building planes flown by Texas pilots. I apologize to you Spitfire buffs for[...]

1/48 Tamiya P-51B

This is my Tamiya P-51B flown by Henry Brown of Dallas, TX. Upper camouflage is Tamiya RAF dark green and the inderside is Alclad aluminum for the metel parts and semi-gloss silver for the painted wings. The figure is from Ultracast. Pictures we[...]
