1/48 S35E Draken "Reconnaissance"

1/48 scale kit by Hasegawa I finished the kit of the reconnaissance type Draken. The kit was originally very well made, so the modifications were minimal. The paint is weathered and faded to give the overall impression of use.

Hobby Boss, 1:48 Scale, Grumman F8F-1, "Bearcat"

Calling this one FINI! Nice little kit which I built completely OOB. I've always liked Leroy Grumman's 'Hot Rod' as it was called in Grumman Corp. Circles. The kit as it comes OOB, is actually a -1b. I wanted to build a real early [...]

AMK 1/48 Kfir C7

AMK's Kfir is a very good kit. It has nicely engraved panel lines and plastic parts are crisply molded. Thus, the fit of parts is very good except for the intakes to fuselage joints. This fault plagues most Mirage type molds of most [...]

ICM 1/48 B-26B Marudaer Instructions Video

(link) For ICM's just released B-26B Marauder. It certainly has a higher parts count than the Monogram kit as it looks like the whole kitchen sink was thrown into the tail detail wise. Individual guns in each side blister? And those [...]

Rufe weathering patterns: Tamiya 1/48 A6M2-N

Weathering patterns on Japanese aircraft during operational service occurred as a result of the harsh conditions in the Pacific. However, due to the scarcity of documentations and photographs, the extent and type of weathering is left much [...]

Airfix 1/48 De Havilland Chipmunk T.10

A bit of a personal one this. A nice if fiddly in places kit from Airfix dressed up as the Chippie I got a couple of flights in during a Summer Camp at Leeming, many, many years ago. Primed with Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black. Painted [...]

Yellow 5 flown by Horst Petzschler.

This is the old Revell 1:48 scale Bf 109 G-10 with wings from Fujimi's 109 series (The more modern issue from the 1990ies). This is my representation of the plane flown by Horst Petzschler. This is what Horst Petzschler later told about [...]

Academy 1/48 A-10C Warthog: “The Best Hog Is A Filthy Hog!”

Here is my Academy 1/48 A-10C Warthog. This represents a jet from the 354th Fighter Squadron “Bulldogs” supporting Operation Inherent Resolve in June 2017. Photo references show that these jets were covered with gun soot from nonstop [...]

Sino-Japanese War...1/48 Beechcraft D17 Staggerwing, Chinese Nationalist Airforce

So, here´s my dad´s latest completion. Typical Roden kit so it didn´t turn out "perfect". Markings with Iliad Design decals. Seems nobody knows the Chinese camo colours, if they had any specific ones. Usually in kit and decal [...]

Tamiya 1/48 P-51B Mustang

Hot off the bench is the classic Tamiya P-51B that still represents a very nice model. However, I am looking forward to seeing Eduard's' new P-51B release so as to make a comparison between the two. Typical Tamiya, parts fit and the only [...]
