Here's my latest effort, Eduard's 1:48 scale F6F-5 Hellcat 'Weekend Edition' (which, ironically, took me six months to complete.) The Eduard series of 1:48 scale Hellcats were hailed as the best in scale when they were released in 2008. [...]
I have wanted to build an F6F-3 with red surrounds on the insignia since I first saw the initial Hasegawa F6F-3 boxing. I like to research my subjects, which can be very interesting and a little deflating at the same time. Apparently it is [...]
Late in the Hellcat mini informal GB, is one that I built when the kit was relatively new from Hasegawa. Around 1997 I built this one back in the day when the world wide web was still growing. The days when Fine Scale Modeler, Scale [...]

2nd [...]
As a continuation of the recent Hellcat themed articles, here's another one for your enjoyment tonight. This is "Minsi III", F6F-5 bureau number 70143. This is the plane in which he scored the last 23.5 kills of his 34 [...]
Well, this is a first on two counts. It's the very first pics taken of this ancient model, and it's the first set of pics I've posted that weren't taken at an airport! Bob Mack said he'd like to see the pics of my Monogram Hellcat, so I [...]
