A sketchy design from Trumpeter yet, without fatal mistakes. Decals are glossy and brightly colored and need to mute down or be replaced. Nonetheless, the model can be turned around to decently represent a unique aircraft that had a brief [...]
I've always had a soft spot for the Westland Whirlwind: whether it's because of the unusual design with its high set tail, or just reading about it in various aircraft recognition books, I don't know. My modelling experience with the type [...]
This is the 1/32 Special Hobby kit. It is built to represent the aircraft flown by Squadron leader Eeles. -This is a wonderful kit in my opinion, but not for a [...]
Here’s my attempt at building Special Hobby’s 1:32 scale Westland Whirlwind.

I have used Gunze Sangyo acrylics [...]

Special Hobby announced they were doing the Whirlwind in 1/32 two years ago. The kit was delayed by The Past Godawful Year, and has now been released. I've been awaiting its arrival with bated breath.
It was worth the wait.
This is without [...]
Built in 2016. Trumpeter kit with decals from the CA kit. Regarding the a/c number, the 8 has to be exchanged with a 9. Added the missing gunsight from the sparesbox and used a plastic rod for the missing headrest support strut.
The [...]
