Final set of Battle of Britain Builds
Following on from my post earlier in the week, here are the final builds from my series in MAI this year on the Battle of Britain. The Spitfire and Bf109 are in the new December issue just on sale today (21 Nov). The builds are:
The new Airfix Spitfire Mk1 converted to a MkII.
The Eduard Bf109E-4
The Dragon Junkers Ju88A-4 converted to an A-1 using the new AIMS conversion set.
The Classic Airframes Blenheim Mk1F

Beautiful work (as usual). I remember just how tough the Classic Airframes Blenheim is, so double kudos on that.

Thanks Tom, yeah - that Blenheim was quite a bit of work!

Alan, Nice work all around. How was your Eduard 109 build. I have that kit on the shelf. Looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks Terry, the Eduard 109 is very good but if you want to build it closed up like I did, ignore the instructions! Just fit the basic engine, use the bearers just to position it then cut them off once glued in place. Also remove all the top gun mounts or else they will foul the top cowling.

Alan, thank you for sharing your take on the BofB, with the significant aircraft. And all to a high standard! Some of the kits you mastered scare the heck out of me, by the by.
Anything Classic Airframe, Brrrr!

Thanks Bernard - those CA kits scared me too!
