Otaki 1/48 Focke-Wulf FW-190
An old kit from the 1970s, but went together very well. No putty or filler needed anywhere.
Painted with Gunze-Sangyo acrylics, and markings are from an old Cutting Edge sheet.
The only modifications done were drilling out the gun barrels.

Your right, these old kits helped me take the next step forward in my model building hobby. They had good surface detail and didn't take an engineering degree to crank a nice looking model. Almost like Tamiya. This is a good example. You've done a nice build with this kit, Well done James.

nice job jim! i've built this enjoyable kit a few times and although it is slightly under scale (about 1/50) it looks good when finished.
