I believe there was at least one at Pax River, postwar. Often wondered: what else, and where did they go? The Emily went back to Japan.
Short answer, somebody got tired of looking at them, had them burned, bulldozed, and buried, or sold for scrap.
I wonder how its engines would've handles a wave-off? (Probably would need speed brakes to slow it down so the engines could stay near full power.) It does look fantastic in Glossy Sea Blue! (Really, what doesn't though?)
