USMC M60A1 with ERA,mine plough and CLAMS
My last model for 2017.M60A1 from Academy in 1/35.At first applied antiskid pattern on horizontal surface of the model. This is Roughcoat in sray can from Citadel. Then I used Eduard;s p.e set for more detail on model. The mine plough came from Trumpeter .Very bad piece. The Scams System was from old Dragon kit for M1A1 Abrams.I used Evergreen plastic stripes to modified it for use on M60.The barrel came from Barrel Depot and the tracks from AFV.
The painting done with Modelmaster acrylics and weathering with oils and AK products.
The crew are an old Verlinden set and stowage from my spare box and from various producers.
Hope you like.Every comment good or bad are welcome

Hello Periklis,
No need for any bad comment. It looks superb. It shows that the constructor did spend many hours on detailing this beast. Reading your text, it shows how important it is to keep the spare box filled.

Periklis, you’ve done a great job! The old beast shows a lot of hard use, but she’s been well maintained, too. Your mud effects are outstanding! VERY realistic. I like that you had the tank “lean” forward due to the plow’s extra weight. Those plows put a lot of extra strain on the front 2 or 3 sets of torsion bars & roadwheels.
Bravo!

Just noticed that, Jeff – great touch.

And a good βsitβ of tread on the road wheels.

Love the weathering, and man, they are loaded up – reminds me of the roof rack of our VW bug when we took a family of 5, 1 cat, and a black lab and her puppies on a camping trip…

Beautiful work here………………. It reminds me a lot of the M-60’s I served in. But ours didn’t have the mine plow or reactive armor. You captured the “look” rather well…………. I like it. A lot.

You seem to have captured the look of this vehicle very well, the mud effects are particularly convincing.

I like very much versions with mine or other clearing systems, they look badass! π One Dragon Abrams with similar mine plough is waiting for me to do it π Your M60 is very good indeed, great weathering!
