1:48 Scale, Airfix, Boulton-Paul Defiant

This is another one of Airfix’s “New Tool” kits. It is a good kit, that also builds well, and it’s a subject that is not often seen. I found it enjoyable, and would also recommend it to anyone. Trumpeter also produces a Defiant F.I, which seems ok, but it’s not as good as the Airfix version, in my humble opinion.

This model represents a Defiant from No. 264 Squadron, RAF, based at Martlesham Heath, Suffolk, England in July, 1940.

  2. Looks wonderful Freddy.

The Trumpy kit doesn’t exist in the same universe with this Airfix kit.

  3. Another nice-lookin’ build (although I’ve never thought it was a “nice”-lookin’ airplane). 🙁
