1/32 scale Fisher Hawker Sea Fury, Dreadnought Completed.
Well its time to post a completed model again. This was a great kit of a fantastic air racer, I just love this aircraft as I am sure most of you followers of the Reno Air Races will as well.
Modifications,
Built a section of the engine as per reference pictures.
Cut out the rudder and elevators, and re fitted.
Wiring of the wheel wells.
Custom made decals.
I tried to do the kit justice with a good paint job, hope you guy's approve.
This kit is a bit of a tribute to the original aircraft and its owners as well as Paul Fisher for an amazing kit.
Back to the RB 51, I will post soon.
Cheers
Marc
Looks great!
Thank you Hans
Another great looking build Marc.
Thank you Anthony.
Very clean! Great work.
Thanks Matt
Superb looking Sea Fury.
Thanks for the comment Julian.
Having been close enough to Dreadnought to touch it, you have really recreated it here. Excellent work!
Hi Tom, I would love to see this aircraft up close, it must be huge. Thanks for the comment.
This is spectacular! Well done, Marc ! I'd like to be close enough to touch the original, too. Your recreation of this famous and outstanding aircraft is beautiful and an exceptional copy in miniature.
Hey Jeff, you stay in the USA, get to the races and send me some pictures. Thank you for the comment.
Marc, you can count on me taking lots of pictures ... IF I can ever afford to go to Reno!
Professional is a good word to describe the kit and it's finish. The
Sea Fury is bigger than a bread box...are in league with the P-47 in the size dept.
Thanks for the comment Stephen.
Marc, This is super nice, and very realistic when compared to the real thing. I had the privilege of seeing this beautiful aircraft at Reno a few years ago, and yes its big and really fast !, its really fun to see a well made model of it. Well done !
This is an awesome aircraft, I had a look at some of the footage on You Tube, just amazing. Thanks for the comment.
Difficult to justify being lost for words which, as you know, is a rare thing for me in written form. The italicised decals on the wheel covers must have been an interesting proposition, but they look perfect. Can't add anything else to the superlatives already posted by our like-minded iModeller Friends - Paul
Hey Paul, the decals were printed for me, Paul Fisher sent me the decals via e mail, they came out just fine. It was a great build, lots of fun building out of a box again. Thanks for the comment. Be in touch soon.
Stellar piece of modeling, Marc...really nice work!
Thanks a mil Craig.
Another beauty Marc - congratulations!
Hey Greg, thanks for the kind words
