Fisher 1/32 Scale Hawker Sea Fury T 20, DREADNAUGHT
Nearly there...
A quick progress report for you guy's, Just waiting for the roundels and the fin flash to arrive and then I will be done. This was certainly not one of those 'shake and bake' kits, but it was a welcome change from scratch building.
I cut open the bottom engine cover and scratch built a part of the engine, as well as cutting off the rudder and elevators, and re fitted them.
The aluminum high gloss paint finish was a little bit of a challenge but I think it worked out ok in the end.
I also added slight weathering from the exhaust just to liven things up, as these aircraft are usually in immaculate condition.
Not much other work to do, just the usual when building a resin kit, shaping and filling as this was a very good kit from Paul Fisher, the detail was fantastic. I hope that Paul gets back on his feet as soon as he can and gets back to producing these masterpieces.
I highly recommend these kits, they are just fantastic.
I hope you like the pictures of the Dreadnought, this is just one of those epic aircraft from the Saunders Family.
Just a quick note... I am really missing the scratch building, I will be doing the Mirage F1 AZ in 1/32 scale next, itching to get started.
A real eye catcher, Marc. Nice job!
Thanks Gary.
magnificent
Thanks for the comment Bob.
Great to see you back, almost among us mortals. This fantastic build shows how almost building OOB gets the Barris treatment. Peerless as always. Paul
