1/72 Bristol Beaufighter TF.10.
This is the still new Airfix kit. The kit itself is superb, featuring solid engineering and great fit. I finished it straight from the box, including kit decals for 45 Squadron in Malaya during 1949. I did make seatbelts from painted Tamiya tape to dress up the cockpit and observer's seat a bit. This model required a tiny bit of Mr. Surfacer to blend the fin extension to the fuselage, but needed no other fillers anywhere. I painted it with Humbrol enamels, glossed with Future and brought it all together with a blast of Testors dull coat.
Another great new Airfix kit finished and on the shelf.
Nicely done John, looks good.
Thanks, Allan. I can see myself building a couple more of these in different markings. Nice kit.
A beauty of Beaufighter! Well done
Thank you, Robert!
Slick looking Beau John!
Thanks, Dale. It looks good in this scheme.
Looks great! I have this kit in my stash, now it needs to get built!
Build it, Juan!
I like the Beau, don't know why, but I like it. I've built one more than 30 years ago, from Matchbox, and has another one waiting her turn...
Your color scheme is unusual, but I like it, and the build turned out great!
Thanks, Manuel! Postwar bomber scheme.
very nice john as always...would love to see more...that's a little jewel
Thanks, Bob.
I really like this kit myself, and you've done a great job with yours. I'd love it if Airfix would up-scale this to 1/48 like they did with the Blenheim.
Agreed, Tom. These new Airfix kits have got me returning to 1/72 on a regular basis! I’d love to see it in 1/48 as well.
Beautiful Beau! I'm gonna have to snag one of them new Airfix kits one of these days...
Thanks, Greg. They’re really addictive. I’ve become a huge Airfix fan over the past decade or so.
Fantastic work with this Beaufighter. It is a very nice kit from Airfix as well and looking forward to build mine too, after seeing your work. Wonderful.
Thanks, Ferry. I think you will enjoy it.
Looks like you’ be spent a lot of time on this model.Looks brilliant.
Thanks, Derek. It was time well spent.
