More Spitfirepalooza
Here’s another oldie, the Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk. 22/24. As many have commented, this was great kit for it’s time and I think it still holds up very well. The only failing for me with the version I bought was the decals. At the time the decals seemed to be made with a dot matrix printer and the inks were not opaque, meaning the detail was soft and the color not as vibrant as it should have been. Ah well, this is still one of my more favorite Spits in my collection.

Yeah, a “golden oldie”. If you get the Falcon vac canopy, the Barracuda resin, and there are decals out there, you can turn this into a real masterpiece.
Nice work on yours.

Very captivating paint work on this model Scott.
The weathering is so well done, it is much convincing.

Great work again Scott. You can’t tell from the finished product that this is an aging kit.
