Miles Sparrowhawk 1:72 – or how a model kit born
Hi Everyone! This article is for mainly whose interested in the model kit making process and also the end of a long and interesting journey (at least for me). If anybody remembers this Miles M.5 Sparrowhawk was my first 3D designed model kit. https://imodeler.com/2021/05/miles-m-5-sparrowhawk-my-first-3d-created-airplane-and-model-kit/ I started to work with SBS some years ago - it's more on a base of friendship than an actual occupation - and they insist me from the beginning of making my kits with 3D design rather than making handmade masters (they - SBS - are famous now for their quality and finesse in the resin modeling world) as this is the definitive way making kits. So this is the result of our cooperation. During the process I learned awfully lot about product development, manufacturing tolerances and quality management and the true secrets of high quality resin kit making. These guys are just fantastic! The blue one - The Sparrowhawk M.5A - will be the SBS surprise release for the French Lyon-Bron show in this weekend (Csaba will bring all the first five complete kit there). I'll add more details to this article soon, but it is a bit late now. Happy modeling everyone in the meantime!

Wow, you and Csaba really lead the way to get us itching to try one of these SBS kits. Can’t really decide which is the best looking livery, the yellow or the blue…
The cockpit looks gorgeous, exquisitely painted for such a small scale.
I’ll keep an eye for a good deal in one of the 1/48 range. Thanks for sharing Gábor!

Amazing result, Gábor @remete
Spectacular builds, especially since this is just a 1/72 scale.

I've built two SBS kits. Both have been superb and importantly fun. This looks to continue the trend.
