Hasegawa 1/72 F-15C
This was a pretty straightforward build after the last F-15DJ franken-build. Added resin sparrows and the sidewinders were from a Hasegawa weapons set. Did a bit of overspray with thinned paint to lighten some areas and knock down the intensity of the decals. Weathered with pastels and Liquitex acrylic inks, and some AK pencils for the drop tank. I used reference photos to figure out the dirt/scuff patterns - some of these Eagles got pretty dirty. Couple of minor issues in the cockpit/canopy area again. Oh well.
I like the F-15 - nice lines and a weighty interceptor. Last version to do is the Strike Eagle...
Well done, Greg. The size of a F-15 and your nice job make it look more like 1/48.
Really nice Greg
Looks great Greg. It does look more like 1/48. Another winner!
Hard to believe it is only 1/72, Greg!
Spectacular job and a very imposing result!
I'd take a F-15 any day of the week!
Impressive job on this Eagle, Greg. A little less colourful than your last post but still a beauty job.
Excellent work on this Eagle, Greg @gkittinger
These results in 1/72 scale clearly shows your expertise in modelling.
Superb detailing and painting.
They've said it all, Greg. Excellent Eagle, and on one of your signature stands.
Very well done.
Wonderful Eagle!
Exceptional representation of the Eagle Greg.
Great job, I like it a lot.
Beautiful F-15!
Great paint work?
Nice Bird. Very good work. The wheels up look displays you make give it the graceful look it commands. I’ll have to try that sometime.
Nice stuff.
Beautiful Eagle! I would have sworn that was some larger scale, to get a result like that in 72nd scale must require the hands of a surgeon!
Greg, Very nicly done, and as others have said, it looks larger than 1/72 scale, which is always a compliment in this scale !
Nice paintwork on this one, Greg. Well done.
Nice looking Eagle, also the finish came out great!
Another superb job, you've shown this kit to maximum advantage!
The 493rd is a pretty interesting unit, I have the Afterburner Decals set for the 493rd in Allied Force.
