Chalkis 20th Static Modeling Exhibition
The Chalkis 20th Static Modeling Exhibition took place on 18, 19 and 20 March. Held in Chalkis, my hometown, at a really nice exhibition building, it was passionately organized by our little modeling club and hosted a respectable number of exhibits from all over Greece. Since, to our joy, too many models filled the exhibition areas, I did not participate, but my sons did in the "junior"category, earning a medal each!
Below there are some pics.
Looking forward to the next year's exhibition.
Happy Modelling!
This looks like one of the best exhibistion you can imagine, Spiros @fiveten
So many models and each of them equally beautiful.
Even scouts visiting, so hopefully some new young people are motivated now to participate in our beloved hobby.
How amazing to see that both your boys did score a medal with their builds, congratulations.
Thanks so much my friend @johnb! Yes, we try to get youngsters involved. Hope they will.
What a great turnout, Spiros (@fiveten), both in models and in spectators. The craftsmanship of the models looks to be very high. It is good to see a lot of young people at the event, including your young men. Maybe a larger venue next year?
Thanks my friend @gblair! Indeed, many young people showed up. Yes, a larger venue next year!
Those two handsome young men should be so proud! ๐ They did some great work and are off to a roaring start Spiros @fiveten. What a cool model show, with lot's of superb work on display! I've enjoyed those pics and will do so again. Great article Spiros! ๐
Thanks my friend @garybrantley! Indeed, many cool models there!
Looks like a great show, Spiros, concentrating on getting the youngsters involved is the way to go.
Thanks my friend @chinesegeorge! Let's hope the youngsters will be involved more and more.
@fiveten
Spiros, judging by the photos thatโs a pretty good show, both in quantity/genres/quality wise. Several jets really caught my eye, but my favourite is the Catalina!
Congrats on your kids participating and medals. Winning is nice but getting them involved at such junior age is the best prize imo. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks my friend @holzhamer! Yes, being involved so young is the real prize. And, yes, the Catalina was supreme!
Thank you for posting this, Spiros. Some really great scale modeling.
Thanks my friend @georgelj!
Well done to Spiros and his boys, nice models on display.
Thanks my friend @kalamazoo!
Congats to your boys. They should be very proud of themselves as well as you Spiros @fiveten. Nice to see a lot of kids checking things out. Looks like so many models entered, the display tables spilled out into the hallways. Loved the VW bug up on blocks. Cheers from Cairo.
Thanks so much, my friend @eb801! Have a great time there, hopefully some modeling acquaintance?
Doubtful. Did not get a response from the local club and the air museum is too much hassle to get to with the awful traffic here. But I did come across this F-104B (?) at a roundabout in a small town in Jordan.
Well, you are somehow rewarded, my friend @eb801: this is a gorgeous display!
Great show Spiros @fiveten. Lots of quality work on display.
Congratulations to the offspring. Get them started early with a little success and it will build enthusiasm for further participation.
Thanks my friend @tcinla!
Excellent work on display!
Thanks my friend @gkittinger!
Looks like a really great day and an amazing turn out , your boys are a credit to you.
Thanks my friend @neil-foster!
