Hi all,
I am from the Netherlands and picked up scale modeling again a few years ago after a break of some 40 odd years.
Currently I am working on a series of planes that have flown or still fly in the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) or, in Dutch, the “Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLU)”.
Here's my first built I want to show you, let me know what you think.
More to follow soon.
Thanks for watching.
Greetings!
Alfred, Welcome to imodeler ! Nice way to start off with your first posting being a great looking F-104, I really like your paint work and the very attractive scheme. I'll be Looking forward to more of your work !
Thx!
Great one! Goed gedaan hoor!
Dankjewel!
Welcome to iModeler! That’s a great kick start, Kinetic Starfighter is a very good kit, and your model looks very good indeed. Any extras or plain OOB?
Thanks! Just plain OoB as all of my builds.
Sharp work, Alfred! Welcome to imodeler.
Thanks so much.
What an amazing entry, Alfred @alfred
Welcome to iModeler.
You definitely did not forgot how to perform some excellent modelling.
The details and weathering are superb.
Living next to Volkel for my entire life, this aircraft from 311 squadron does bring back a lot of memories.
This specific aircraft is being restored and it would be great if it would return to the sky one day.
Love to see more of your work from the Dutch airforce.
Thanks so much. To be honest, I do not think my modeling skills were at this level 40 years ago. 😉
On top of that kits, paint etc have improved substantially over time.
Welcome to iModeler, Alfred @alfred. This paintjob is superb! I love the subtle variation of colors on that camouflage.
Thank you, Felix.
Welcome on board Alfred. I think you will find all the folks on here are a friendly bunch 😊
Nice Starfighter by the way 👍
Good start 😊
Thanks Guy. Indeed, feels like a warm bath.
Fantastic Starfighter, Alfred!
Welcome aboard!
40 years away and this is Result #1? You've done a good job of proving "it really is like riding a bicycle." 🙂
Very nice work on all aspects of this model.
Thanks.
But, it is not really the first of my builds.
The first attempts date back a few years and are not really worth sharing.
Excellent come back build. Welcome aboad.
Thank you so much.
Very nice work. The finish has just the right amount of gloss.
Thank you, Brian.
Lovely looking Starfighter, welcome to iModeler.
Thanks so much, George.
Welcome aboard, and wow - what a come-back entry! Looks great!
Thank you so much, Greg.
Wow what a comeback indeed, that is fantastic, thanks for sharing, your building looks like you have been doing it for the last 40 years, look forward to more of your work.
Much appreciated @anthonyricco
