1/24 Academy Mazda T600 Truck
This was a fun project for me. I took a break from modeling for a while I wanted to try something different as I usually do 1/48 aircraft. This is the first time a tried a vehicle and at 1/24 scale this thing is still pretty tiny. I wanted it to look pretty weathered so I hairspray chipped the whole model to show rust and grime. I used Tamiya panel liners and oils for additional weathering. These are just iPhone photos btw. Thanks
A wonderful result, Jeremy! Even more amazing that it is your first vehicle! Painting and weathering rocks!
Thanks Spiros!
That looks really nice, Jeremy. Well done and so cool looking!
Thanks Gary!
iPhone or not, great job
Thanks George!
Absolutely a perfect start on your first vehicle, Jeremy @jmillan
Great result and very nicely weathered.
Lovely finish and a good exercise on heavy duty weathering on a everyday working vehicle
Terrific, Jeremy @jmillan. Nice to see something different that looks so realistic. Hard to believe this is your first vehicle.
A unique subject . It looks very realistic, you did a nice job weathering this.
What a beautiful build with the lovely weathering!
I used to see these a lot in Japan back in the 60s. They were literally everywhere. This looks exactly like a remember - well used and hard-working.
Your paintwork and weathering is superb.
This is great, Jeremy, you’ve really captured the character of these vehicles. I see a lot of these where I live in China, only now they are electrically powered. The locals love them because no driving licence is required, and you don’t have to obey the rules of the road.
@jmillan - Great painting and weathering Jeremy, looks incredibly realistic!
I appreciate all the nice comments! Thanks guys
That's just so cool. And a first vehicle model. Hats 🎩 off to you Jeremy.
This is excellent! The weathering and rust is just perfect for a well used runabout.
