Me262A-1a/U3 reconnaissance version from Trumpeter's 1/32 scale kit
Hi... this is my recently completed conversion of the Me262 kit using the AIMS resin/PE conversion set. The kit builds up well with some care, and the conversion pieces are well made and with a little adjustment, make the kit look really good. I like this 'non-fighter' variant, especially in large scale.
It was completed as part of the 'Imperial German...' GB and can be seen here - https://imodeler.com/groups/imperial-german-air-service-luftwaffe-group-build-may-1st-1910-to-present-day/forum/topic/trumpeter-me262a-1a-u3-photo-reconnaissance-conversion/, and the last of four YouTube videos of the entire build can be seen at this address - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_kl3sQsHRo.
I hope you like the end result, and thanks for looking in... ;-).
Regards,
Paul
This is a masterpiece, a real inspiration. Me262s are fascinating, the beginning of jet combat, remarkable for their strengths and for their shortcomings.
Your attention to detail makes me want to get an Me262 for my first Luftwaffe subject.
Thanks, Anna-Elizabeth... I appreciate your comments. I really enjoyed working on this kit and with a bit of patience, it turns out well. As I said, it does have a lot of tight fitting parts but that shouldn't put it beyond a good modeller. If you do try this one, I hope it turns out well... :-).
Another winner, Paul! Indeed, your attention to detail and overall superb skills yielded nothing less than a true masterpiece!
Your build thread was a joy to follow and the accompanying video was great.
Congratulations!
Thanks, Spiros... glad you like the model, and the video. Despite a few difficulties of my own making, I'm pleased with the final outcome. Looks smart in the cabinet as well... thanks for taking time to look in... ;-).
Definitely liking the end result, Paul @paulh
Together with all the detailing you did on this 262, made a superb looking build.
Well done.
Thank you, John... I appreciate your comments very much... ;-).
Great work, @paulh, and a superb result. That Trumpeter 262 kit is one of their best and you definitely got the most out of what was there.
This is just gorgeous. That camouflage! I would love to see your build.
Fantastic looking 262, Paul, the conversion worked very well in your capable hands.
Well done, Paul. Like the paint work.
Beautiful work. Looks flight-worthy!
Guys, thanks again for all of your comments. Really pleased you like the finished kit... ;-).
Great job on a unique plane. Very impressive and great finish.
Very nice! Love the paint scheme you chose for that. All that extra work paid off as well.
Mark/Greg... thank you both for your comments ;-).
Stunning work mate! Bravo, love the wüllenmuster paint work, very realistic
Thanks, Pedro... ;-).
