P-51D Lt. Robert W. Williams 100th FS, 332nd FG. 1945.
This kit of a Red Tails P-51D, is one that I never heard of, Premium Hobbies, It's a nice kit and went together well but I think that the shape is a little off. My niece got this for Christmas, they are finally listening to me, 1/72 kits or a hobby shop gift card.
It’s a re-pop of the Academy kit. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/premium-hobbies-126v-p-51d-blue-nose--1335143
Good job by the way!

I had thought it was something like that, thanks.
Very nicely done, Robert @roofrat
A wonderful Christmas gift for sure.
Great job, my friend Robert!
It looks great! Beautiful markings !
Nice Red Tail thanks to a very thoughtful niece, Robert.
@roofrat.
Nice job, Robert.
The shape is "a little off" (Academy kit! Academy kit!) but your work on the model resolves any problems in its favor. Nice work on this.
To me it sort of resembles an "H" without the taller tail.
I've always admired the clean lines of the P-51D and you've done a fine job on this one!
You sure had a very merry Christmas, Robert, I hope your niece was impressed.
Nice work Robert, great shine in the sun!
This is an excellent model. You have done a wonderful job with it. Thanks for sharing it with us. Tomorrow is Memorial Day and this one is a fitting tribute for the men and women in uniform that we have lost over the years in defending the world.
I’m definitely clicking on a few boxes before I leave.
Very nice looking machine, Robert
Nicely, cleanly, brightly done Robert.
Thank you all!
@roofrat - Nice work Robert. The photo of it taking off into the sky is pretty great.
Paiting looks very interesting!
Gotta love those red tails. Fine build.
Memorial Day...our special day...less for grilled hot dogs, far, far
more for honoring/remembering ALL of our fighting heroes...an example: those who helped save the day for the USA as they flooded the skies over Germany in Mustangs and Thunderbolts while escorting B-17's and others during critical bombing missions. Most returned, many did not...may they rest in Peace.
Great build Robert! Love the Red Tail markings.
Nice build Robert, looks great with these markings.
