Hasegawa 1/48 F-4E Phantom IDF
Although showing its age, Hasegawa's 1/48 F-4E model looks like the real aircraft when completed. It has many shortfalls but, the relatively low part number count allows the builder to get to the painting stage quickly.
In this model, I added armament from the Academy Phantom kit.
Another amazing looking IDF warbird Rafi , the Phantom looks so aggressive in Israeli camo and you did a superb job with this one , well done.
Thank you Neil.
Excellent Phantom, Rafi! Looks awesome in IDF camo! Yes, the Hasegawa Phantoms gradually become dated but look the part once finished.
Thank you Spiros!
Absolutely a beautiful result, Rafi @blackmopane
The Israeli camouflage scheme looks awesome and the weathering is great as well.
Thank you John.
Nice work, Rafi!
Thank you Gary
Great finish and details on your IDF Phantom, Rafi. I love the way the camo looks just weathered and stressed enough from real use to be absolutely convincing. Just like the real aircraft, as you said, but more from your painting skills than the mere accuracy of the kit. It's also quite refreshing to have the canopy closed in this build to preserve the lines of the beast. I have a couple of the Hasegawa kits in my stash and intend to do one as a Kurnas in IDF markings, like yours. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you for the compliments Colin.
Hope to see your Kurnas here.
Great looking Phantom, Rafi.
Thank you George.
That’s really sharp, Rafi. The Hasegawa kit is still a good value. Low parts count and reasonably priced.
Thank you John.
Absolutely, I set my sights on the Japanese Phantoms.
@blackmopane - Excellent painting skills Rafi. Incredibly realistic.
Thank you Brian.
gorgeous work on this- love the look of the F4 in these markings and camo scheme. Your work is definitely inspiring- thanks for sharing!
Thank you David!
Nice looking Kurnas, Rafi!
Thank you Dan!
A lovely IDF Phantom - the IDF desert scheme is one of my favorite for the F-4
Thank you Greg.

Very realistic! A great looking build of an awesome aircraft.
Thank you John!
Now that’s what I call a phabulous Phantom, Rafi! @blackmopane
Thank you Alfred.
